Combination Skin :A Headache - How to Avoid Problems in Weather Changes..?
We mentioned in earlier articles, our skin is divided into four major types, normal, dry, oily and combination skin. When we choose our skincare products, finding the most suitable formula and avoiding those with risks, can avoid a lot of problems in change of weather.
The causes and treatment methods of dry skin and oily skin have been described in our other blogs. Today we will go on to combination skin and how to maintain it healthy and bright with natural skincare products.
Characteristics of Combination Skin...
Combination skin is one having oily and dry skin at the same time. Mixed skin types appear on different parts of the face and body. On the face, the T-shaped part being the foreheasensitive skind, nose, and chin are referred to as oily, while the area around the mouth, cheeks, and eyes are dry areas.
Causes of Combination Skin
There are many reasons for combination skin, which may be genetic or hormonal. This kind of skin can easily get worse if you use skincare products that contain irritating or damaging effects, causing dry parts of the face to become very dry, while other parts that are already oily become more oily.
Everything from shampoos to cosmetics to colognes can cause skin irritation or allergic reactions. A dermatological study published in 2010 found that more than one-third of more than 900 people who participated in the study had at least one allergic reaction to cosmetic ingredients. The problem can range from a simple rash to an allergic reaction to the entire face. Symptoms may not appear immediately after you use the new product, and sometimes they may appear after many years of use.
Perfumes and preservatives are often the culprits. Even products that say they are "scent free" may contain scents to mask the chemical odors. You may not smell it, but it is there and it is the cause of the allergic reaction. The most common preservatives are:
parabens
imidazolidinyl urea
Quaternium-15
DMDM hydantoin
phenoxyethanol
methylchloroisothiazolinone
formaldehyde
All of these are related to skin allergies.
Natural Skincare Advice to Combination Skin
Just because the label says "hypo-allergenic", "dermatologist tested", "sensitivity tested" or "non-irritating" does not guarantee that the product is good for your skin. Some companies do tests, but some companies do not. There are no rules on how to use these terms on labels.
Therefore, when choosing skin care products, the focus is therefore to find simple products that are preferably chemical-free. This will reduce your chances of allergic reactions. The second important point is to choose products suitable for mixed skin, whose functions can be tailored to the needs of different parts of the skin, and can balance your sebum secretion. Moreover, applying regular facial massage and face yoga can also help improve skin texture.
